Collector fluid from the solar heat exchange wand is plumbed to the pump inlet, with 3/8-inch copper tubing. A 1/4-inch fill valve is also on this pump inlet line. The pump outlet goes to a pressure gage and then to the collector via 3/8-inch tubing. The collector return line, also 3/8-inch tubing, runs with the collector outlet line in the same insulating foam jacket. The collector return line goes to the top inlet of the wand. Control wires fit outside the insulation. The hot collector return line goes to the upper wand connector.
